On the Road Again by Tree

After a long three weeks off, I am off to Waco, Texas to see the West Virginia Mountaineers take on the Baylor Bears. The Bears opened up as an 18 point favorite but past meetings of these two teams have been wild affairs. I am hoping that WVU shows up and Baylor’s defense doesn’t. Of course, I am not sure the Baylor defense has yet to show up this year. Fortunately for the Bears, their high powered offense always does.

This game is very early, 11 am. The A&M – ‘Bama game is just down the road in College Station with a 2:30 pm start. I might just have to stop in College Station on the way home and see if I can catch the 2nd half at Kyle Field. I have already been to A&M games twice, but why pass up the chance to see a huge SEC game?

Random thoughts for the week:

  • Like I said last week, Harbaugh is a hell of a coach. It’s no surprise that Game Day is heading to the Michigan MSU game this week.
  • Georgia running back Chubb’s leg injury was a gruesome sight. It is the downside to the new technology available where everything is shown in crystal clear detail. That is one play I would have rather seen in a very blurry console tv.
  • Maybe I am too tough on Clemson.
  • I am certainly not a Texas fan, but it was really nice to see Charlie Strong and the Longhorns upset Oklahoma. The ‘Horns were absolutely due for a good result.
